The Sparks confirmed the news this morning but the team’s release and statements from team officials don’t indicate when she is due. From the news release: "Shelden and I are very excited to be expanding our family" said Parker referring to her husband Shelden Williams of the Sacramento Kings. "We feel blessed and look forward to becoming parents. "But unless she delivers in the next month or two it will be tough coming back right away. The Sparks have been through this before with a star player becoming pregnant and believing she would play that season.
Former owner McClatchy severs ties with Pirates

While I will no longer play a role with the club I will always passionately support the team in any way that I can. “A native of Sacramento McClatchy spent more than six months assembling the shareholders and cash necessary to buy the Pirates in February 1996 after local ownership could not be found and it appeared the money-losing team might be relocated. Despite the lowest payroll in the majors the Pirates made a surprise run for the NL Central title a season later finishing in second place but they have not contended since. McClatchy announced his resignation as chief executive officer in July 2007 giving way to Bob Nutting whose Wheeling W. -based family had gradually begun buying shares after initially being brought into the ownership group by McClatchy.

It has been a rough season to say the least for the Hornets who picked up their lone win over UC Davis back on December 3rd. Since then Sacramento State has gone on to drop nine consecutive outings including an 87-74 setback to Eastern Washington on Sunday. It was the second loss in as many league games for the Hornets as they fell to an awful 1-14 on the season. As for MSU it too is 0-2 in conference play following a 73-59 loss at rival Montana on Saturday.
