Lawson looks to lead the Monarchs to a fifth straight victory over the Washington Mystics as the teams meet Tuesday night at the Verizon Center. The 5-foot-9 Lawson will be playing in front of a number of friends and family since she hails from nearby Springfield Va. She’s come off the bench for most of her five-year career despite improving her scoring average each season. Lawson is averaging 16.
